“Another romantic best seller that spawned movie and manga spin-offs was “Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu (I’m Coming to Meet You Now)” by Takuji Ichikawa in which a dead wife returns to her husband and young son for a brief six weeks.” ~ Japan Times (friday, Dec. 17, 2004)
I’m really not the kind of person who reads shoujou or even enjoys shoujou, but I must admit that this book was AMAZING! Of course, I read it in a translated version so I’m sure a bit of the power that was in the original language was lost (it always is *sigh* )
Anyway, I have this thing for novels that have been translated from Japanese into English (and bookstores always place them with the Manga, so there’s no effort looking for them) I found it and (as with most books) bought it without even really looking at the cover art (actually some of the best books I read end up being found using this amazing method of mine… of course the books I actually search out are no where near as good in comparison … T_T why? ) anyways I picked it up bought it and of course it had to be the most expensive thing I bought. Unlike my NHK book which was the cheapest when I bought that. But I finished my Battle Royale book and for whatever reason I just couldn’t get into my Blood: The Last Vampire book so I thought, why not look at the first few pages of ‘Be With You’ (Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu is the Japanese title) and next thing I knew I was on page 32 and didn’t even realize it. I must say I have never finished a book so fast. And when you go back and analyze what you read, it really isn’t all that interesting afterward, but when you’re reading it , it’s amazing. Mio is a fascinating character by far and I don’t think you really appreciate that until the end at the letter. For a second I found the movie and it came with Mio’s Diary and other trinkets from the movie… I lost the link to it T_T it’s okay though, it was a region 3 DVD Hong Kong Version, chances are it didn’t have English Subtitles and even though I’d know what was going on, if anything was different from the book (and there are high chances there are) my Japanese isn’t good enough to understand it (my guess, I’ve been wrong before and my Japanese has helped… but I need to study it more ..)
Anyway, I’ve been getting more and more into these novel things… I guess I’m going through a novel crazy (like I did when I was younger…) I just found a bunch on Amazon.com that look cool.
Top Priorities:
Calling You by Otsu-ichi
Chain Mail Addicted to You by Hiroshi Ishizaki
Train Man: The Novel by Hitori Nakano
Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex: The Lost Memory by Junichi Fujisaku & Camellia Nieh
Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex: Revenge of the Cold Machines by Junichi Fujisaku & Camellia Nieh
Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex: White Maze by Junichi Fujisaku & Camellia Nieh
———-
Of Course the Ghost in the Shell is highly influenced by me liking the music that Kanno-sama composed for the series (which is definitely not a reason to go buy a book but still…)
Train Man, I’ve heard so much hype about Densha Otoko (Densha = Train ; Otoko = Man) and it seems interesting enough, so I figured… why not?
Chain Mail Addicted To You… um…. the art reminds me alot of “Jisatsu SAKURU” (Aka Suicide Club) a great movie btw. The story seems pretty interesting and has that ‘Boogiepop’ character view going on…so yeah
Calling You is just enough philosophical thing, much like Boogiepop Phantom, or SEL (Serial Experiments Lain) and probably some of the other ‘crap’ in my room (as my mom would call it)
Bwahaha… now all I need is money… (I blew alot of it at the bookstore buying other books that caught my eye…and no I haven’t read most of them…)

I’m a HUGE Boogiepop Phantom fan! I have all 3 of the novels and the 4 manga that was released as well as the 5 DVD set with the whole animated series and the live action Boogiepop movie… It’s been a while since I read the novel (I remember when I first got it I’d even read it during class, it was just so amazing) and I already saw the movie, which I thought was very good considering they had to fit three books into it… the series however… I don’t remember any of this stuff… well… once in a while something will click… but not much… and I’m wondering if it’s the work of the series or lack of work in my mind (my memory isn’t all that great) I remember Kirima Nagi… but then again… who doesn’t? I mean, she was probably the best character next to Orihata Aya, yeah, Boogiepop was cool and all of that, but … duh… of course Boogiepop is going to be amazing… I’m talking about the other characters… obviously…
Anyway… I’m disappearing tomorrow… and wont be back until Wednesday… I dont think I’ll be able to handle my mom and sister for 5 days … I can barely handle them for an hour… so for 120 hours… I doubt it… anyways .. I might have something to report and babble about when I’m back… or maybe not… I know though, for a fact, I’ll have finished Battle Royale and be reading BLOOD … aahhhh vacation… I should be home.. sleeping… yup… but I’m not… sigh … stupid warm places (though I do like the warm…)
My Boogiepop books (the novels anyway) are pretty bent out of shape from me carrying them all over the place and reading them in the rain -.-* whoops… but like I said, they were good books, and still are…
As far as books go I’m on the third stage of reading Battle Royale… and it’s about time, it’s taken me months to get this far… because I love the book, but I rarely have time for it… and it’s not as easy to carry around as the Boogiepop books were. Im almost done though! It’staken months but I’m almost done!!! I’m so excited! I can’t wait to read it! I don’t care if I’ve already seen the movie (I really want to buy the movie as well) but I’ve already noticed some differences in the novel, and they go into way more detail (obviously because it’s a book) but it’s just better… (of course)… next I’ll be reading BLOOD: The Last Vampire… I think it’s called ‘Night of Beasts’ or something like that… eh… I really liked the movie, so I figured why not… and anything to keep me from reading ‘Socrates in Love’ it’s way to lovey-dovey & depressing for me.. I mean the first page it’s like ’she’s dead… i miss her… she’s dead… i love her… she’s dead… i miss her…’ it drove me crazy… of course I’ll probably read the Kamikaze Girls novel AGAIN before I read it…
I really adore the Kamikaze Girls Novel, Manga, and Movie… it’s really awesome… though I must admit the novel bored me little bit at the beginning… mostly because I knew about the whole ‘Rococo Era’ and stuff like that. Of course, I really got into it… actually it was really towards the end, I hate to admit it though it was really… painful to read.. of course towards the end it picked up pace and changed from the movie in a critical scene (though at the same time it didn’t change the overall outcome of it) and it got really good. The cover is really cute… I think I want the paperback version since I have the hard cover version (and I want it ALL XP including the $50 imported Soundtrack.. Wahhh Shimotsuma Monogatari…WHYYYY!) Oh Shimotsuma Monogatari is the Japanese name for it. It’s something like “Shimotsuma Tale” for a translated name… which is… no offense… I really LAME name for a movie… but … whatever,, right? since the plot is really good and creative and unique and all that ood stuff… Shimotsuma is just a name of a place…I love the book regardless of it boring me to almost tears (tears since I really loved every other thing related to Kamikaze Girls and this one, the ORIGINAL, just didn’t work for me) I actually used the quotes for a Health project where we needed quotes on Courage or something like that… haha I don’t remember what it was exactly…
Also… Melon Kinenbi needs more attention given to them… they’re the ones with talent (if you ignore Takahashi and Tanaka from Momusu and Suzuki from C-ute and Natsuyaki from BerryZ) Melon Kinenbi, yeah, they have age, but they have talent and Saitou Hitomi is waaaayyy cool (Even though the HAPPY7 outfit didn’t work for her XP a person like her should have a spaghetti strap shirt)
The following are from a Character called Seiichi Kirima in the books/series/manga/etc. Boogiepop Phantom
- The past will often attack the present with the pain of your memories
- The brain is a microcosm creating its own stories. People then live out these stories.
- Time does not exists, only the illusions of memories exist
- Existence does not rely on matter. Everything is phantom.
- The waking dream called the world is constantly changing. What’s so sad about that?
- Pure perfection has no past. That is how you live purely
- How can you say you are a phantom?
The quotes are from random moments in the book and may nor mean anything to those who haven’t read the book…

Randomness…
It’s true about the whole ‘If you don’t like the weather in New England then wait five minutes’ I was working this weekend (like I usually do) and every time I looked at outside it was of different weather than my previous look. First it was super windy, then it was snowing, then it was sunny, then it was rainy, then it was just windy, then it was sunny, then it was snowing~! It was ridiculous. It should start snowing and never stop!

Atashi no kami-sama wa Kanno Yoko-sama to Kajiura Yuki-sama to Steve Conte-sama desu.
Kanno-sama to Kajiura-sama wa shojou desu.
Gomen nasai, atashi no nihongo wa ii dewa arimasen.
Jaja XP
Anyways, Kanno-sama is probably really known to those who like Anime Soundtracks, she’s a Goddess of it. “best known for her work on the soundtracks for many games, anime films, TV series, live-action movies, and advertisements”~ Wiki
People have said that she and one of the vocalists that she works with is actually her (Gabriela Robin) of course she and the company refuse to acknowledge that it’s her. Though no one’s ever seen her, she never preforms live, and basically there’s nothing that proves she exists. I wonderful mystery. Her birthday is March 19 and she’s currently 43, only a year older than Kajiura-sama.
Kajiura-sama is a year younger than Kanno-sama, making her 42. “She has provided the music for several popular anime series, such as Madlax, Noir, .hack//SIGN, Aquarian Age, My-HiME, My-Otome, Tsubasa Chronicle, and one of the Kimagure Orange Road movies (amongst others). She also assisted Toshihiko Sahashi with Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Kajiura has also composed for the Xenosaga video game series, namely the cutscene music for Xenosaga II and the entire Xenosaga III game soundtrack” ~ wiki
So… basically these people are pretty famous and talented
and then Steve Conte
“
Steve Conte is the lead singer in the bandsThe Contes, Crown Jewels and is the current lead guitarist of the New York Dolls. Conte first became known to the music industry through his band Company of Wolves (Mercury Records) in the early 1990s. Steve has done studio and/or live work with artists like Peter Wolf, Willy DeVille, Maceo Parker, Billy Squier, Suzi Quatro, Jill Jones, Paul Simon, Simon & Garfunkel, Phoebe Snow, David Johansen & The Harry Smiths, Chuck Berry, Willie Nile and many others.
He has also worked with composer Yoko Kanno and lyricist Tim Jensen in music for several anime series. Steve Conte sang the opening theme, Stray, to the Studio BONES’ anime series Wolf’s Rain as well as the tracks Heaven’s Not Enough and Could You Bite the Hand? on both of the anime’s soundtracks. Conte can also be heard in some episodes of Cowboy Bebop, most notably for the song Call Me Call Me, as well as Words That We Couldn’t Say, No Reply, and the CD version of Rain, sung by Mai Yamane in the series. More recently, he sang the ending theme to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG; Living Inside the Shell along side with Shanti Snyder. He also performed on the duet “The Garden of Everything” with Japanese singer Maaya Sakamoto on her RahXephon-related single “Tune the Rainbow”.” ~ Wiki
Thank you Wiki
Conte-sama has a really awesome voice. “Heaven’s Not Enough” “Rain” “Living in the Shell” “Could you Bite the Hand?”
Anyway… yeah… that’s basically it, nothing to do with Kajiura, but she’s amazing, especially with her .Hack// work, so I figured you can’t really mention one without the other, just because of their profession and their status in that field…

Wow, the candidates for president are just dropping like flies, eh? It’s like this ones out, this ones out, this ones out… oi… I heard someone say that it’s probably just gonna be Clinton Vs Obama…
And people have noticed that Hilary’s face got less wrinkled as it came close to her running, so she probably had botox. Which I think is stupid, you know people who get those injections, the amount they put in their face is enough to kill a rat?! And… apparently it’s deadly to some children… well now doesn’t that sound friendly…
It’s currently snowing and I have a driving test in about half an hour… and it’s snowing really hard… it wasn’t sticking at first, but now I think it is. I tried to calculate the rate of snow earlier but it melted too fast for me to figure it out… and I guess I could do that again, but.. it’s snowing harder and I already got yelled at for standing outside in the snow…

What if we’re in Heaven right now?
I mean, we could be, but Heaven just isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, right?
If the brain holds memories… then it would only make sense that we lose our memories because we’re being reborn, so our brain needs to redevelop and so it can’t remember what happened, that’s why so many people can’t remember their early childhood years. Maybe we remember the past “Heaven” when we’re first born, but we quickly forget as our brain can’t remember well… who knows… just a thought… and like all my thoughts… it’s really hard to prove anything…
