Okay, I’ll admit it, I haven’t been keeping up with the latest Japanese music at all. But I heard her name from a couple of posts from different places that were talking about Chinese artists breaking into the Japanese Market. Tiana Xiao really stuck out
Possibly because she reminded me of Utada Hikaru? (It’s a picture of Tiana)

Her voice is really strong and beautiful and I highly recommend you check her out. I hear she really hasn’t gotten that popular, but she Soooo has potential, so please check her out. Below is my brief review, please note that I’m am exhausted so it’s not the best review, but it gives a little idea… I apologize in advance for my overusage of the word “nice” and “beautiful” and combination of words that really make no sense…
When I first started listening to her Sweet Obsession I was a little skeptical, it didn’t seem to be nearly half the hype that everyone was giving her. I got a little farther into the song and it was actually really nice. Better than Temptation which, although okay, it really wasn’t great. Probably why it was the B-side though. I think the song Temptation just kind of blended into itself and didn’t really stick. KIZUNA was a really cool song with a pretty funky beat. I thought that they played out the echoes very well. It seemed to be a pretty cool song. Painting is the b-side to KIZUNA, I actually found it really nice vocals and found it quite relaxing with a calming tempo that isn’t slow. It’s not a ballad, but it’s definitely a song to unwind with.
Now the album
it opens with aquarium, it’s a relaxing song, and it’s cute, but nothing really sticks out in it. About half way through the song it gets a little better, but not too much.
Destiny the song is definitely a faster tempo, it almost reminds me of a club song with the background music. It’s a fun song, although she does say ‘DESTINY DESTINY DESTINY’ alot
3 2 1 … wasn’t really a good song in my opinion, it took me a little bit to realize that ‘no, my phone is not vibrating…’ the music simulated that song and I cannot begin to describe how annoying the noise is.
Echo I like the chorus, but for the most part it was über high pitched and… well… it sounded like listening to a keyboard singing
Undo Hurt didn’t grab me at all, I actually spaced out during it (mind you I was also reading a sneak peek of Fruba vol 20) but I haven’t really heard a good review of it.
PARADOX was probably my favorite, it a cute, light song with a nice happy beat that isn’t the overwhelming stuff I usually listen to (like Momusu).
Happy Tears sounds like a sad song, it’s really pretty and I think it was beautifully woven together.
Mileston ~to believe~ to lazy to really listen to…
