There are two polls on that popeater site and one says “Should the paparazzi pursue celebrities as aggressively as they do sometimes?” – This is something that really bothers me. Why are we so obsessed with the rich and the famous, and why are we so desperate to catch them not looking flawless-why must people wait for the right moment to take the most unflattering picture of them? Or to nearly crush the parent while they take pictures of the already frightened and scared child, because really, if you’re surrounded by that many people at all once, you’re probably scared, you probably also have MIA Parents and a funny name. ( Ex. Apple, God, etc.) Anyway, I just don’t get it. It’s like some people actually make it their life mission to harass these people. The fact is, that they’re human, so they’re not going to look flawless all the time, yes they have problems, probably more than they let on. Why? Because of all the people at home staring at them, wanting to know all about their love life, their children, their past, their future and what dress they wore to the Grammys. It doesn’t make sense, just because they’re rich and well known it gives us the right to invade their privacy? If the paparazzi asked permission and kept their distance, thinking of the safety of the people they were taking pictures of-that would be one thing. But it’s been proven time and time again that they clearly don’t care about who they’re photographing. Celebrities have been killed by the paparazzi, I mean I certainly know of one famous one, showing that it’s not just the country, but it’s the type of job that creates assault. Let’s try Princess Diana, she died in a car crash… while being chased by the paparazzi. If it was a mean, nasty, rude person-one could simply blame it on Karma, but the fact of the matter is that she was just an innocent victim. She did so many god things for the people of Whales, and she didn’t deserve to die. But they chased her down anyway- for what? A picture. They killed her in the process of taking her picture. Not everyone wants their picture taken-why? Because there’s a good chance the person is going to find the most unflattering picture possible of them and then post it on the cover of every magazine in every attempt to humiliate the poor thing. People shouldn’t care, they’re every day people, just with a lot of money. What is learning about them really going to do for you anyway. It’ll either be jealousy, hatred, or “oh, that’s nice”, because either you think they’re throwing their money away, are buying the latest gadgets or are actually doing something good for others with their money. But really, it doesn’t benefit you in any way. Unless they’re specifically giving money to you (and I assure you that’s few and far between and you’d probably wouldn’t have to read that in a magazine to find out) it doesn’t do anything for you. These people are monsters, they live on only taking pictures of celebrities, so they’ll do that in anyway possible, just like most people would do so much to keep their job and food on the table. It’s a job, sure, but no one should feel such pressure they need to take lives in the process. In other words, people should be paid to take pictures of celebrities, if you see them, ask for a picture and they say ’sure’ that’s one thing. Otherwise people just get too into it, people shouldn’t get killed for stuff like that, it’s not like we’re short on their pictures anyway. Just google it. Really, who cares what car she drives or how much money he makes or the name of her child. They’re harassed enough, and paying people to be paparazzi-well- that’s just getting paid to harass people.
