You can check it out at Hello! Online, Gocchin’s got a new song called “with…” it’s a Sweet Black Feat. Maki Goto thing. I still can’t truly figure out what it means, buti it’s a pretty soft, beautiful song. The PV seems every day, but it looks like a ‘trying to work hard every day’ kind of thing and it’s interesting. Of course there’s Japanese text which I don’t understand. Overall it’s a really good song.

May I just say, then when UTADA HIKARU came to America they compared her to Britney. So really, America loves comparing EVERYONE to Britney. I agree with the music video “I did it for Love” it sucks, it really does, but I really liked the “Eat You Up” PV. BoA and Utada Hikaru are completely different, and yet America likes comparing them to Britney. But let’s face it there can’t be another Britney, she’s too psychotic, yeah, she has her issues, but you can’t expect that from Asian artists, the standard is completely different, like when Koda Kumi got suspended from her tours for mentioning that she didn’t want a baby at an old age because it wouldn’t be as healthy (which is actually a scientific fact.) So clearly the expectations are different, talent lasts there, but you need to be on the front cover of a magazine to even be remembered here.
Well, in my last post I put a bajillion tags supposedly some of the most researched words in the google search engine… I got 18 hits on that post… as opposed to the other one when the tags weren’t even 1/65 as much and the other one still got more hits… oh well.
Failed experiment.
He made a game called Rhythm Heaven and it’s for the DS and the commericals have Beyoncé staring them. Yes. BEYONCÉ!!! I mean, I’m not a huge fan of hers or anything, but she is HUGE!!! (not size, but as far as Star quality) I think that’s huge. I mean, think about it. The Amazingly popular Utada Hikaru makes a Debut in America and I didn’t hear about it, I only knew about it because… well.. I know everything.. 
soo not true. And then BoA got some commercials.. but then Tsunku.. who’s group isn’t all that popular (let’s face it, they aren’t that popular in Japan anymore T_T ) and they get BEYONCÉ!!! It’s awesome… I mean, I feel bad for Hikki (but she never should’ve tried to go Mainstream with her music, it sucked, I adore her, but she should never try to be something she isn’t. And BoA rocks, there was actually a dance project and my friend and I danced to one of her songs and EVERYONE ADORED the Song. They were like “OMG WHO DID THE SONG??? IT’S AMAZING!!!” so I helped her. Clearly I adore BoA) but TSUNKU gets Beyoncé?

BoA and Utada are HUGE in Asia… not just Japan, not just Korea or China… ALL OF FREAKIN’ ASIA!!! Meanwhile H!P is more of a middle school fad, and while they’ve expanded into Asia (AKA creating a Taiwanese Momusu and adding some Chinese members to the Momusu group) it’s not nearly at popular as BoA or Utada… separately, I’m not adding their star quality together, a 1/955500 if their star power is more than H!P (don’t get me wrong, I enjoy H!P, but as far as popularity goes, it has nothing on BoA or Utada)

Except that it wasn’t H!P who got promotion it was the guy who is head of H!P who thought of a game, which is tapping… and from what I know, that’s pretty much the whole game, tapping in Rhythm. I didn’t put Utada on the list, because I didn’t hear a WORD about her on the Internet, on the TV ANYWHERE. It sucks, of course Utada tried to go mainstream on this Album, of course without help of people who are experts at mainstream and she only made one decent song. She clearly didn’t think this through, she debuted before and she had people who were excellent with mainstream help her then, but she got no promotion and she was pushing to do music that she wanted to do, clearly there was conflict and she didn’t put her heart into the music. This time around she got people who weren’t into the whole mainstream thing, people who were used to letting the artist do what they wanted to, which is really cool, but Utada was trying to make mainstream music with people who weren’t used to doing that, hence her terrible album. She has amazing vocals, which aren’t even mildly relfected on this album and it’s such a shame, because she IS amazing and this album is just trash. Utada! NEVER GO MAINSTREAM AGAIN!!! And if you do try, get people who know how to play the mainstream game.
Meanwhile BoA ended up getting a really Shitty PV. THANK YOU AMERICA FOR CRAPPY PVs. Thank God the company that she’s under allowed for her to use the Asian PV in America instead of the American version. Really, look at what America did to BoA’s Eat You Up PV, it looks like a terribly made fan-vid, except by someone who clearly wasn’t that much of a fan to spend time actually trying to make it look good. The Moves are just perverse without reason, it’s not sexy, it doesn’t make sense, it’s like, “How awkward can we make this dance” not to mention they had her hair back in a weird pony, I love ya BoA, but NEVER EVER let anyone do that to your hair EVER AGAIN!!! Not to mention they put this really weird make up on her that aged her AT LEAST 20-25 years, she looked like she was 50 or something, it was ridiculous, compeltely unflattering. Just look at the asian version of her EAt You Up PV, it’s clearly superior, and it’s not because it’s from ASia. It’s the fact the producers know the power that BoA has. she’s not just a Siren, she’s not just a sex-object for men to drool over./ she someone who actually can sing and not to mention an amazing dancer. As far as the make up what concerned, because they did a freakishly awful job on Utada hikaru’s make up as well (I don’t know if it was the same people, I’m assuming not) it must be this American thing where they haven’t the slightest idea what to do with Asian faces as far as make up goes. It’s like they put it on for a German face or something, it looked terrible. It’s nothing against Germans at all, I find them AWESOME!!!! But the fact is, you can’t use the same make up tricks on everyone, because they don’t work for everyone. It’s the same thing with colors, some people can pull off certain colors that others can’t. I just happen to have a very agreeable skin type quality and tone, so I can wear any color I want to. Meanwhile I have friends who can’t pull off the same colors I can, I can pull off any colors, it’s true, but when my friends find the perfect color, it shows and although I’d look good in that color too, it isn’t nearly as powerful as some of my friends can play it up. Yay for babbling.
Point is, Utada made a mistake (in my opinion) SM Entertainment SAVED BoA from that humiliating PV (if that was only possible for Utada as well) and Tsunku drives me insane, I hope he gets lots of money from this game and I hope all of it goes into helping H!P.
Anyone heard of Ice Creamusume? There was a huge thing about them, they released an album… and then… what? I need to look into that…

Facebook, facebook, facebook… how many people are on at 8 AM? I’d like to know because the times only get earlier in the country, well, moving to the left anyway, if you move to the right. Well, you’d just fall into an ocean. It’s ridiculous, and it’s not my internet, it’s the actual facebook page. Why do I know it’s not my internet, because I’m on a couple different websites and they’re going really fast, despite the fact that I loaded them after I got impatient with facebook, meaning I was clicking randomly at every chance I could to pull power away from the internet I’m using. It could’ve loaded by now, it should’ve loaded by now. Why can’t they an efficient design and actually stick to it? Why must they always be finding a new way to change things. You know, the thing that don’t need to be changed, in fact, the very things that shouldn’t be changed.

I figured… I’ve used this long enough and I might as well make some comments about it… First off… so many people have wordpress accounts. I can’t blame them though, I mean, I have one myself and I’ve been on soooo many different blogging things, off the top of my head I’ve tried: Vox, LiveJournal, Xanga, Blogger, Bravenet, I tried the one on MySpace for a little bit… and those are just the ones I can remember, meaning anything else I tried failed so miserably I can’t even remember the name. And there have been times when I signed up for one checked out the features (well, in these cases, lack-of features) realize it doesn’t suit my needs and left. I think I’ll go over my experiences with some of the ones I remember…
I checked into Blogger to see what was up with that. Well, first off, it doesn’t have designs, it says layout and I clicked it and of course it’s just “where should the text be in relation to the links” and that stuff, which really doesn’t allow for a creative energy to flow. Before that, the first thing I saw was a list, and it looked like the way it should’ve been formatted was to have lots of different blogs, which didn’t make any sense to me. And it almost looked like there were supposed to be different profiles for each blog. Which looks like trickery to me. I don’t have a problem with people having different blogs, but why completely change who you are when you’re talking about something you enjoy. You see, my personal preference, is to just have one blog, with lots of posts on anything and about anything I wish to write about. It’s either that, or I could have a million different blogs that get updated once a month, of course I’d never remember where any goes anyway so one blog is easier for me. Any way, point is, blogger doesn’t allow much freedom and posting made me feel like I was just scribbling something down on a post-it note and putting it on a fridge, which really wouldn’t bother me if they allow a design to make it look like sticky notes on a fridge which just the header of the note and then you click on it and it pops out with the text, that would be cool-but it doesn’t.
I remember Vox, I can’t really place my finger on it… okay, so I logged back in (because my computer remembered all the info I needed to log in) apparently I made 17 posts in the year 2007 on that account… and each post was about the length of one of these paragraphs. So I’m looking around pressing buttons getting no where, and that’s when it hit me. the design I chose was adorable (which means Vox has some pretty cute designs because although I love the computer I’m terrible at it) of course getting no where has me realize that Vox just didn’t make any sense to me. It looks like they added some new features, but if you can’t navigate a site then what’s the point. I clicked “create” which I figured to be “New post” which it was, and that was about the only thing that made sense to me. I wanted to look at the format and set-up to see if there was a reason I was so hindered from actually writing anything more than a few sentences long (because I really do babble on). It just didn’t feel official, it wasn’t like writing on post-it notes. but at the same time, it felt like each post should only be a few sentences long. It’s quite bothersome. It has lots of colors, but it’s definitely not for a young adult. It’s probably best for middle schoolers and no one else. Of course I wasn’t in middle school in 2007, it was High school, but nonetheless the fact is, I tried it, didn’t like it, and moved on to something better.
Xanga- it’s really cute and adorable from what I’ve seen and remember, but of course it’s more for younger teens or people who are just there for the cute factor. As for me, while I do like the ‘cute’ look of it, it’s too middle school-ish. And although I use sarcasm terribly and can’t spell or speak properly for my life. I feel that wordpress allows for a person to be taken more seriously.
Bravenet & MySpace aren’t even to be mentioned, MySpace sucks in general. And then Bravenet is actually really cool, it lets you try all these really cool web tools for free, of course there are designs on the blog, but I just didn’t see it as a place to blog because it was just so versatile and I had been using it as mostly an “upgrade” on my website at the time, it’s free, but there are lots of cool features. Mailing lists, guestbooks, message forums, photo albums, webpolls, chat room, counter stats, online calendar, site search, etc. Think of it as a google, but you can put the features onto your personal website and it relates to only your website. Meaning if you put a chat room on your website, anyone on your website who opens the chat room and talk to each other, but it wont invade other random chat rooms. The site search is just for your website. and etc. It’s pretty cool, I really enjoyed using them. I haven’t used it in a million years though, simply because this is my “website”. So I had to make a new username, of course I remember how cool it was, so it doesn’t bother me
As far as Live Journal is concerned, it’s not bad, but it’s more for people who want to be part of a group, you know, affiliated and all that stuff. And as much as I’d like to affiliate with someone… who would I affiliate with? Another blog with controversial topics? I have plenty of posts that aren’t controversial. Music? Well although I do have quite a few lengthy posts on music and quite a few posts on music, it’s music in general and all the controversy with the other topics just would work well in a music community. It’s just random, whatever I feel the need to post about, and as everyone knows I’m not good at posting interesting things. In fact, I’m on break now and that makes it even harder to focus and actually write things. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love blogging, but I’m rarely on track and there’s nothing consistent, from the posts itself to me actually posting, most of it’s “NOOO I MUST FILL THE GAP FIND SOMETHING MINDLESS TO WRITE ABOUT!” I had lyric translations going on for a while…what’s up with that? Actually I was out of the state and didn’t have access to a computer and wordpress lets me choose the month, date, year, and TIME (not just hours, minutes as well) for something to be posted.
This is an attempt for a transition into why wordpress has kept me so long. Although I really started going back to blogging just this January, I’ve had it for so much longer, think about it, almost a year goes by and I can still remember my username and password. I actually went back to this blog… it’s really quite amazing for a virtual roamer such as myself. I got this account Jan. 29, 2008 and around Dec. re-discovered it… so now I’m trying to keep it updated and this might seem like a filler post, but I actually did want to ramble on and on about this. Wordrpess allows for nice designs, it allows for more creative energy to flow and it’s not all about what community you’re part of, or how many friends you have or anything like that. It’s about posting what you want and expressing your thoughts, but it gives you the proper formatting tools, it lets you upload music, pictures, movies, it lets you put in polls and all that good stuff. It also gives you the option of creating your own design, it lets you see how many visitors you’ve got every day, every month, every year, it compares it visually so you don’t just see numbers. If it was just numbers, I’d be annoyed, but it’s a line chart, so you roll over the dot to get the exact number. It’s fun seeing the difference, and if I see it declines greatly it motivates me t post something, even though I know it’s not about the posts, I really enjoy seeing them.

Aparently in MA they’re going to put kid’s BMI on report cards. What a great idea! I can’t wait for kids to keel over from starving themselves!!! I mean, all the models (which is a rather and unrealistic expectation for those not naturally born with that body; The average American woman is 5’4” tall and weighs 140 pounds. The average American model is 5’11” tall and weighs 117 pounds.) clearly haven’t caused enough trouble. I mean, we could do a lot better, did you know bulimia has only TRIPLED in the years 1988 to 1993, of course they’re even HIGHER now, but really, we could have TEN TIMES more than that. After all barely 6% of people with bulemia actually receive care. “Over one-half of teenage girls and nearly one-third of teenage boys use unhealthy weight control behaviors such as skipping meals, fasting, smoking cigarettes, vomiting, and taking laxatives (Neumark-Sztainer, 2005).” Let’s see how terrible we can get this situation!
And that would be the end of my sarcasm. This is an outrage! I can’t believe that they would due such a thing, I mean they call EVERYONE obese and overweight. They did a BMI thing in freshman year, for me and my sister, they said I was at risk for high blood pressure and was obese and over weight, then I talked to my DOCTOR, you know, the one CERTIFIED to actually do this kind of thing, I’m not at risk, I’m not obese, and I’m well within the weight range for my age and height, meaning I WASN’T over weight, in other words, they crushed my self esteem (which was already crushed thanks to middle school) for NOTHING. Don’t tell me the nurse has experience, because nurses in a public school don’t do a damn thing, especially at the school I go do, she ignores everyone and everything just listens to her radio and talks about buying new sneakers. It’s stupid, it really, really is. Also, they said my sister was Obese and over weight. I wouldn’t be surprised she was over weight actually, she was a gymnast, a serious, intense gymnast, meaning she was ripped all over, she was toned, you could find a flabby part of her body. And the reality is that muscle weighs more than fat, it’s the truth, look it up, anywhere that will tell you the facts and not a bunch of lies. So really, her being over weight was due to WORKING OUT FOR HOURS EVERYDAY, but obese? This girl is now in her upper 20’s and can still fit into kids clothes, not because she’s really short, though she is shorter than average height (not by much though) but because her figure hasn’t changed, size Zeros fall off of her, yes, you saw right ZERO!! Some people are impressed with size 6 or 4, but my sister needs smaller than a ZERO. It’s ridiculous. Of course after being told she was obese, well I can’t go into that, let’s just say lots of dangerous ways to lose weight have ensued and she no longer does gymnastics. It’s sick. Trying to teach kids these ways. The fact is, the school should be there to teach, not tell everyone they’re fat. I understand obesity is a problem, and I’ve seen it first hand, but there are better ways to deal with it. How about more vacation time, no, I am serious, how about longer lunches and breakfasts, how about more time to sleep. It sounds ridiculous-which is why we’re in this mess. The less sleep a person gets the more likely they’re going to gain weight regardless of what they eat. It’s also been proven that sleep is crucial for mental health as well as eating goes. Because your body works really hard during sleeping hours to put that food to good use and burn it off. Also, if you’re more rested you don’t have to rely on eating as much to fuel you. Of course the longer earlier meals would be beneficial, if people could actually eat a proper meal in the morning slowly, then people will lose weight. It’s just science, you’d seen those cereal commercials, people who eat breakfast actually lose more weight. It’s simple, you eat food, the body doesn’t starve, then you don’t slow down your metabolism, that way you can still keep burning food, and you’ll have fuel to actually do things in the morning rather than sluggishly go places. Most of the people I know barely have time for a cup of coffee in the morning, but when they do, that’s all they have, because there’s so little time in the morning. Because everyone is so tired, because no one gets enough sleep. Anyway, if people were able to eat slower then the body wouldn’t be overloaded with work, if you give it a lot of food at once, it just sits there and it’s not good for digesting, but if you were to feed (even the same amount of food) over a much longer period of time, then you’d be able to digest it better and more efficiently. Also people tend to have big dinners, it’s really the only time people have to eat, and even then it’s a quick meal, but you can’t eat a lot of food right before you go to sleep, then it just sits there and will never get burned off. It’s simple facts. Now vacation time, people will be able to have longer, meals and sleep more and reduce stress. All of these things will allow people to lose weight.
So instead of calling everyone fat, having their self esteem shot down only for them to starve themselves-why not address the problem with solutions rather than pointing the finger of accusation. That’s the only thing I can think of. Most people tend to think of Europeans as tall, skinny people…. look how long their vacations are, look how much longer they get to sleep in… think about it….
